Shane Mosley Jr made his pro debut on Saturday and scored a quick first round knockout over Mark Cordova. Cordova, out of Albuquerque, NM, drops to 0-2.

Junior is 23 years old and had a 37-10 amateur record. He had his father and grandfather Jack working his corner.

Also on the card...Junior welterweight Jose Zepeda took a unanimous decision over Rob Frankel. Zepeda runs his record to 19-0 with 17 knockouts. Zepeda is trained by Robert Alcazar (Oscar De La Hoya's original pro trainer.)

Robert Garcia protege Saul Rodriguez scored a fourth round knockout over Miguel Zamudio. Paramedics were brought in after Zamudio remained down courtesy of a Rodriguez left hook and right hand. He was later able to walk out of the ring under his own recognizance. Rodriguez is now 13-0-1 with ten knockouts.
